Bilingual children are all different; “Les Cours de Récré” aims to encourage the talents and develop each child’s capacities.
By attending “Les Cours de Récré”, children play and learn in French in order to:
- Raconter (tell stories)
- Ecouter (listen)
- Chanter (sing along)
- Rire (laugh)
- Ecrire (write)
Songs, lullabies, artistic activities and theatre provide a playful approach for a program specifically tailored for French speaking children living in an English-speaking environment. Maths and Sciences will also take part in this innovative way of learning.
“Les Cours de Récré” welcome French-speaking children from the age of 3 to 15 years old. They are looked after every Saturday morning from 9:30am to 12:30pm (except school holidays) by a team of expert teachers and artists.
A dedicated section for English speaking children is possible. More details on this page: French as a Foreign Language.
Games and flexibility are clearly the emphasis to make sure children learn in a fun environment. To this end, our bespoke programs have been designed to emphasise the 3D:
- “Découverte” (Discovery): each discovers a wide range of sounds and activities;
- “Divertissement” (Distraction): each child plays, shares and celebrates the French-speaking communities;
- “Développement” (Development): each child develops his/her languages skills.
Everyone involved in “Les Cours de Récré” are native French speakers, and are experienced teachers.
“Les Cours de Récré” follows the UK child protection guidelines, and everyone involved has been DBS-checked.
